At FII KSA, Mohammed Kateeb highlights the importance of digital finance to strengthen financial inclusion
The most recent and 5th anniversary edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Saudi Arabia took place on 26-28 October in a hybrid format and assembled over 200 speakers, 15,000 attendees from 130 nations, with on-ground participation of leaders of government and industry.
Mohammed Kateeb, the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the world’s leading Islamic banking software provider, Path Solutions, said that “no end to poverty without financial inclusion and the only way to achieve it is to invest in digital technologies for customer empowerment”, as he addressed FII conference themed ‘Invest in Humanity’ on Wednesday.
“As multiple sectors witness a renaissance, investments in digital technologies will create the greatest benefits for humanity. To meet that future head on, our efforts should be geared towards innovations in digitization, analytics, automation and machine learning, and to achieve true sustainability we need to balance the economy, society and environment”, he said.
With an inclusive agenda, FII has quickly proved its effectiveness as a global platform for cross-border collaboration in service of humanity. Leaders and experts at FII collectively brainstormed to bring concrete ideas to enable a brighter future for humanity, considering the enormous economic opportunities that will lie ahead in the post-COVID era.
